2 Vivaldi biopics planned

Here we go again with 2 similar films fighting for an audience. Will they both complete production and make music for us?

Vivaldi #1
Director: Boris Damast
Cast: Claire Foy, Max Irons (son of Jeremy Irons & Sinead Cusack)
In negotiations: Neve Campbell, Jacqueline Bisset, Elle Fanning, Tom Wilkinson, Alfred Molina and Sebastian Koch.
The film will tell the true story of how the composer turned a group of women, who were the illegitimate daughters of courtesans, into an orchestra that eventually played for the Pope.
Set to begin shooting this September in Venice, Hungary, Germany and Bruges.

Max Irons and Claire Foy

Vivalid #2
Director: Patricia Riggen
Possible cast: Jessica Biel, Ben Kingsley, Luke Evans and violin supremo David Garrett
The film focuses on the composer’s struggle between his devotion to his music and priestly vows and to the woman he loved.
